With the rising concern of what we're vaping and more focus from the government on our industry, it’s important that E-Liquid manufacturers prepare for the future as vaping quickly breaks its’ way into the mainstream. We believe in being open with our customers, vendors and the public about what goes into our e-liquids so here you’ll find results and the steps we’ve taken with Vaping Monkey E-Liquid.

We sent a total of 14 Vaping Monkey flavors in 15mL bottles with a nicotine strength of 6mg/mL to Enthalpy Analytical–recommended by AEMSA (American E-Liquid Manufacturing Standards Association)–for analysis. All flavors were tested for the following: Diacetyl and Acetyl Propionyl as these are the most common concerns with today's E-Liquids.

Here are the results from the first test:

Flavor Diacetyl 2,3 - Pentanedione #
Chim Pan Tea 4.13 J < 2.13 ND
Chimp Berries < 2.07 ND < 2.13 ND
Chimp Berries Uncrushed 3.17 J < 2.13 ND
Melon Yeti < 2.07 ND < 2.13 ND
Planet of the Grapes < 2.07 ND < 2.13 ND
Orangutang < 2.07 ND < 2.13 ND
Monkey Beach < 2.07 ND < 2.13 ND
Kong Berry Burrrst < 2.07 ND < 2.13 ND
Tropic Monkey < 2.07 ND < 2.13 ND
Bonobo Bliss 45.1 610
Blue Baboon 95.4 690
Gorilla Glaze 189 127
Monkey Buns 39 60.9
Monkey Cream 561 36.8

#: Pentanedione is also known as Acetyl Propionyl.
ND: Non Detect or analytical result below the MDL and is less than (<) the reported value.
J: Result is below the lower curve limit and above the MDL and is considered estimated values.

These results gave us a good base to work with. With Diacetyl and Acetyl Propionyl, we took the flavors with higher numbers and immediately began reformulating. Reformulated Monkey Cream and Blue Baboon did not pass our flavor QA so we did not proceed with retesting those flavors.

Early January, 2 flavors were sent to Enthalpy Analytical for retesting. Here are the results from the second test:

Flavor Diacetyl 2,3 - Pentanedione #
Gorilla Glaze 226 < 1.14 ND
Bonobo Bliss < 1.14 ND < 1.14 ND

#: Pentanedione is also known as Acetyl Propionyl.
ND: Non Detect or analytical result below the MDL and is less than (<) the reported value.
J: Result is below the lower curve limit and above the MDL and is considered estimated values.
